Enhancing B2B and Mobile User Experiences

Led end-to-end product design for Shop This City, enhancing mobile UX, designing a partner dashboard, and creating marketing visuals to improve brand visibility and seamless discovery for shoppers and retailers.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Shop This City, a web application aimed at helping fashion retailers increase brand and style visibility among local shoppers and tourists, required design solutions to enhance its user experience. The platform integrates real-time inventory with digital tools like store locator maps and brand search, enabling seamless brand discovery. To better serve its B2B partners and align with updated branding guidelines, Shop This City needed improvements to its mobile application and a complete design of a partner dashboard.

Timeline: July 2022 - February 2023

Role: UX/UI Designer for mobile UX enhancements, end-to-end product design for B2B dashboard and visual design for marketing materials.

Team: Cross-functional collaboration between Design, Marketing and Engineering.

Skills + Methods: Wire-Frames (Low to High Fidelity), User Flow Mapping, Feedback integration, Refining and Developing a UI Kit.

THE CHALLENGE

The B2B partners faced challenges with limited performance insights, inconsistent branding across the mobile app, and a lack of efficient onboarding tools, hindering business growth and partner engagement.

The platform's rapid expansion after its beta launch in Vancouver highlighted the need for scalable solutions to accommodate increasing partner requests, growing product inventories, and multi-city operations.

 

GOALS & DESIGN STRATEGY

Applied updated branding guidelines across the partner dashboard, mobile app, and marketing materials to ensure a cohesive and user-centered experience.

  • Designed intuitive user flows and simplified information architecture to enhance usability and navigation across the B2B dashboards

  • Incorporated data visualizations to present performance metrics in an accessible and actionable format for B2B partners.

  • Developed a scalable design system and cohesive design library to ensure consistency, streamline development, and support future platform growth.

 

RESULTS & BUSINESS IMPACTS

The partner dashboard saw strong adoption within the first few months of launch, with positive feedback from B2B partners.

  • Streamlined onboarding processes significantly reduced setup time and contributed to increased partner retention.

  • The website redesign drove a notable increase in traffic to the "Become a Partner" page, supporting business growth.
